Opportunity for Experienced Planning Professionals

CSR is an established, award-winning multi‑disciplinary consultancy delivering high‑quality planning, design and construction services across the built environment. Driven by a strong commitment to excellence, the practice continues to grow its portfolio of public and private sector clients.

We are currently seeking Town Planning Professionals to join our Dublin or Cork offices. The role offers exposure to a broad range of projects, including large‑scale residential schemes, commercial and retail development, urban regeneration, tourism, masterplanning, infrastructure and environmental initiatives.

The successful candidate will work on varied and rewarding projects within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team, with clear opportunities for professional development and role progression aligned to their skills and experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing projects end to end, working closely with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Developing project plans, overseeing budgets and ensuring the timely delivery of high‑quality services.
  • Ensuring efficient delivery of client instructions.
  • Coordinating with statutory authorities, including County Councils and An Bord Pleanála.
  • Designing and implementing strategic responses to new legislation and policy changes.
  • Acting as a company representative at client meetings and across social media to support business development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionals with 5+ years planning and development experience.
  • Accredited planning qualification with IPI and/or RTPI membership, or equivalent.
  • Candidates should have 5+ years of planning and development experience.
  • They should be strong communicators with excellent report-writing skills, commercial awareness, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and proven leadership skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Irish planning legislation and regulations.
  • Proven expertise in development planning, feasibility, environmental planning and planning applications, appeals and reports.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills in complex planning matters.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team member with a client-focused approach.
  • Support junior team members and collaborate with our design, master-planning and GIS teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organisational skills.
