CSR were commissioned by Cork City Council in partnership with Bons Secours Hospital to develop a design for a bespoke play area with emphasis on play inclusivity for children of all abilities.

Working with play specialists Kompan Ireland Ltd and Snug & Outdoor London, CSR developed a design concept drawing inspiration from Cork Harbour, its castles, natural environment and associated shipping heritage.  The resulting design combines accessibility with a sense of adventure, exploration and movement.  Features including castle, ship, climbing wall and a range of swings, see-saws, roundabouts and grass mounds combine to provide a unique and inspiring sense of arrival and fun.
