GREYSTONES MARINA VILLAGE

Project Details

BRIEF

CSR was commissioned to deliver the landscape design for a mixed-use coastal development at Greystones Marina, comprising a public promenade built on stilts above the marina and two courtyard roof gardens serving 249 apartments, 24 terraced houses and a commercial complex. The project required a holistic approach integrating public amenity, residential comfort, universal accessibility and sustainability across a complex, multi-level site with basement car parking below.

CONCEPT

The landscape design centred on creating a resilient and welcoming urban coastal environment. For the promenade, CSR envisioned a multi-functional public space made from durable materials and robust coastal planting, supporting a wide range of activities. It is a flexible space designed for walking, running, skating, cycling, watching regattas or simply sitting back and taking in the surroundings.

The courtyard gardens were conceived as contemporary yet comfortable outdoor rooms, with clean geometric forms providing spatial variety and layered planting offering texture, seasonality and ecological richness. All elements were designed to support biodiversity, meet universal access standards, and minimise environmental impact. This was achieved through lightweight construction, sustainable sourcing and efficient stormwater management.
