OVERVIEW
CSR was retained by O’Callaghan Properties to support the redevelopment of a prominent city centre site on Half Moon Street in Cork. The proposed scheme comprised a four-storey over-basement development on a 3,300 sqm site, delivering retail space at basement, ground, first and second floor levels, with office accommodation at third floor level and associated rooftop plant and storage areas. The development was designed to enhance the commercial offering and urban character of this key city centre location.

CSR prepared a comprehensive Environmental Impact Statement and Visual Impact Statement, alongside providing strategic planning advice throughout the project. The team coordinated a range of specialist inputs to thoroughly assess potential environmental and visual impacts, ensuring a robust and compliant submission. A key focus of CSR’s approach was integrating mitigation measures into the design process, allowing potential impacts to be effectively addressed while supporting a high-quality and sustainable development outcome.
