CSR was appointed to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of planners, architects, engineers, and engagement specialists under a tight timescale. Our role was to guide collaboration with the County’s Town Regeneration Team, integrate ideas, and ensure proposals were clear, accessible and deliverable.

‍CONCEPT

CSR developed an integrated set of proposals spanning community, economic, cultural, social, and environmental needs. Emphasis was placed on activities and events, alongside buildings and spaces, to maximise long-term value. Community engagement was central, with innovative approaches such as “walk and talk” sessions helping overcome plan fatigue. The proposals embraced the town’s topography, exploring creative ideas like an urban zipline, while ensuring open spaces and buildings worked as a cohesive whole.
