Slough Town Centre Redevelopment, UK

Project Details

CSR was retained by Criterion Capital in our London office to provide an Environmental Assessment for a major town centre development in Slough, providing for the redevelopment of two shopping centres — Queensmere and Observatory.

These two shopping centres are spread over approximately 54,000 square metres and hold 124 retail outlets including Debenhams, Primark and Marks & Spencer, plus restaurants and cafés, a ten screen cinema and a health and fitness club.

The plan provided for the demolition of the existing Dukes House, as well as various retail units, hardstanding areas and access roads. Additionally, it provided for the construction of a residential development comprising 908 units in a series of towers, with the largest being 19 storeys high.

CSR coordinated a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the preparation of an Environmental Assessment in accordance with UK guidelines.
