OVERVIEW
CSR were appointed to lead the planning application for a new micro whiskey distillery in Dublin’s Liberties, marking the first distillery to open in the city in 125 years. Situated within a historic and evolving urban quarter, the project formed a key element of broader regeneration efforts and required detailed consideration of zoning, site context and the appropriateness of the proposed use in contributing to the area’s renewal.
SERVICE PROVIDED
CSR managed the entire planning process, providing in-depth advice on planning policy, zoning interpretation and site constraints to support a robust and policy-compliant application. The team undertook detailed assessments to confirm the planning status and suitability of the development, guided the project through engagement with Dublin City Council and coordinated all required documentation. Planning permission was granted in 2014 and construction was completed in 2015.
