OVERVIEW
CSR managed and coordinated the preparation and lodgement of a planning application for the comprehensive redevelopment of the Curragh Racecourse, providing a new grandstand including corporate and racing industry facilities, parade ring, presentation, owners and trainers, area, tote betting facilities, refreshment areas, retail areas, veterinary facilities and stewards and entrance area. Beginning at concept stage, and following input into an initial masterplan for the site , the CSR planning team advised on key planning constraints and considerations and worked closely with the local authority, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), Horse Racing Ireland, the Jockey Club, owners, trainers, and specialist services such as veterinary representatives, media outlets and the public throughout the scheme formulation process.

CSR managed the full planning process from option assessment and initial concept design to preparation and lodgement of the planning including coordinating stakeholder engagement and overseeing the preparation of both an Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Natura Impact Statement (NIS). CSR also engaged extensively with senior counsel to ensure a robust application was presented to Kildare County Council culminating in a positive determination. Subsequent to the grant of planning permission advised extensively on discharge of planning conditions and planning compliance.
