Derek is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years' experience delivering major residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and Australia. A Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI), he holds an MSc in Regional and Urban Planning from University College Dublin.

His expertise spans the full development management process, from pre-application advice through to planning determination, with particular experience in large-scale housing developments, urban regeneration and major infrastructure projects. Derek has led the assessment of significant schemes including an 875-home urban extension in Dorset and a major mixed-use tower development in central Sydney.

Combining extensive public sector experience with strong project leadership skills, Derek brings a practical, delivery-focused approach to planning and development projects.
