CSR are delighted to have worked in conjunction with Roughan O’Donovan Engineers on the Whitegates to Athlone section of this Dublin to Galway greenway project and are thrilled to see this milestone of opening the Athlone bridge met. CSR provided landscape architectural and arboriculture services, working closely with the design team to develop integrated landscape design proposals and arboriculture solutions along the greenway route and Athlone Bridge river crossing.

The opening of this bridge brings us a step closer not only to a coast-to-coast cycle route from Dublin to Galway, but eventually to the rest of Europe. This greenway will be adopted into the EuroVelo 2, a cycle route that crosses continental Europe, the UK and Ireland. It has already had an impact on residents and locals, with many adopting it into their day-to-day commute.

"We have been using the services of CSR extensively for the last five years on numerous residential developments and have always been hugely impressed with the team's professionalism and resourcefulness. They have always provided us with excellent quality advice and output. Senior team members are always easily accessible, which is very important to us. The team have the experience and expertise necessary to provide effective guidance to us in all situations." - Compass Homes Ltd
