We are delighted to announce that James Chilton has joined our team as an Associate Director, bringing over two decades of experience in complex planning, tourism development, transformative placemaking and urban regeneration across Ireland and the UK, along with a strong track record in leading multidisciplinary teams on major strategic projects.

A Chartered Town Planner, James has led an extensive portfolio of national and regional projects, including county-wide tourism strategies, recreation and leisure plans, feasibility studies, capital funding applications and sectoral development frameworks. His work is grounded in detailed market analysis and structured stakeholder engagement, resulting in practical, evidence-based solutions that support sustainable development and effective placemaking. His national contributions include serving as a member of the Blue Flag beach jury panel, reflecting his strong commitment to environmental quality and sustainable recreation.

With specialist expertise spanning destination strategy, recreation and leisure planning, development planning, urban regeneration, economic development and stakeholder engagement, James strengthens our capability to deliver impactful, evidence-led strategies for clients across the public and private sectors.

James has an advanced academic background in planning and sustainable tourism and is professionally accredited through the IPI and RTPI, as well as being a Fellow of the Institute of Placemaking.

Ministerial Directive on Housing
