Cunnane Stratton Reynolds are proud to have provided landscape architecture services for the recently completed redevelopment of Bethany House, Sandymount, led by Clúid Housing, Ireland’s leading Approved Housing Body.
The project marks a significant milestone in the provision of age-friendly social housing, with nine residents moving into their new homes as part of a wider redevelopment that delivers 62 high-quality, purpose-built homes designed to support older people to live independently within their community.

Speaking at the official opening, Minister of State for Older People and Housing, Kieran O'Donnell TD, said:
“I am delighted to be here today, along with the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ray McAdam, for the formal opening of this redevelopment of Bethany House by Clúid, which will provide much-needed homes. My key priority is to support older people to continue living in their communities. This new housing development provides high-quality homes where older people can live independently, within a vibrant, thriving and supportive community.”
CSR’s landscape design for Bethany House focused on creating safe, accessible and welcoming outdoor spaces that encourage social interaction and enhance the wellbeing of residents. The landscape strategy integrates planting, seating areas and circulation routes to support community connection while maintaining a sense of privacy and calm for residents.

CSR is delighted to have contributed to this important project, which sets a new standard for inclusive, age-friendly housing in Dublin.
