Passing of Our Founding Director, Chris Stratton
Oct 20, 2026
With heavy hearts, CSR would like to share the sad news of the passing of our friend, founding director and former colleague, Christopher Stratton, on Monday 19th October, following a short illness.
Chris built CSR and in particular, its landscape team, from its beginnings over 30 years ago, and leaves behind an extraordinary legacy through the people he mentored, the landscapes he helped shape and the values that continue to guide our practice today. His passion for landscape, his wisdom, generosity and unwavering commitment to excellence touched countless colleagues, clients and collaborators over the years.
While we mourn his loss, we are immensely grateful for the times we shared with him and for the lasting impact he has had on our practice and profession.
Our thoughts are with Chris's family and friends, and all who knew him.
