CSR is pleased to announce the granting of a 10-year planning permission for a €25 million, cutting-edge Operations & Maintenance Facility (OMF) for Greenore Port in Co. Louth.
The permitted OMF will serve as a critical supply and maintenance base for numerous offshore wind farms proposed for the Irish Sea, and beyond.
The project consisted, in part, of a large, combined warehouse/office building of approximately 7,500 sq. metres, staff parking for ca. 140 spaces, a pontoon facility and a fuel storage area.
CSR were asked by McCuthcheon Halley Planning Consultants, in conjunction with McCarthy Browne Marine Consultants, to produce Landscape Design, as well as a Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment, for this project. Given the site’s direct proximity to Greenore Port, Greenore Golf Club and the Greenore Architectural Conservation Area (ACA), as well as the sensitives of the wider coastal environment of Carlingford Lough, CSR’s landscape design proved a critical part of both mitigation of visual impact and the integration of the development into its surrounding context.
